Well Adeline is feeling better. I can tell the new antibiotic makes her drowsy, but thankfully tomorrow will be the last day she'll have to take it. The hives are all gone, however, so no more benadryl which is good for all involved.
We had to drive through some pretty nasty weather last night to make it to Holland. Normally it's a two and a half hour drive, going about 70 mph on Michigan highways. It takes a little longer when you have to go 35-45 the whole way. We made it in about 4 hours and Adeline did really well. The last 45 minutes or so she woke up so I narrated and sang to her the entirety of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh movie. It was subsequently running through my head all night long...
So far we've been enjoying a fun and relaxing time with the family. Adeline is having fun with her cousins that she's only ever seen once before, and it's pretty fun to have all 10 of us under the same roof. Waking up for Christmas morning tomorrow will be lots of fun - and Adeline will look extra cute in her Christmas jammies :). We sure miss Uncle Peter, but look forward to seeing him - and him meeting Adeline for the first time! - on Monday.
So Adeline didn't have much of a half birthday yesterday, but she is indeed now a full 18 months old. I can't hardly believe it. Tomorrow will be her second Christmas and next year she'll have a little sister to celebrate with. This family stuff is pretty cool :).
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy your time with family and friends.
Much love,
Meredith :)
